Visibility of the building from 135th Street was the prime requirement by the client. This was accomplished with the judicial placement of street trees and other site landscaping while still complying with the City's landscape ordinanace requirements.
Shrub beds were planted with consideration of views from within the building as well as from outside. Large masses, variety of colors, seasonal interest and open sight lines were all considerations designed into the final plan. Regionally native plant materials were installed whenever possible using both evergreen and deciduous trees.
This $8,200 landscaping project was designed and bid in the Fall of 2004 and installed in March of 2005.
